Terms and conditions

Registration & Insurance

Speciality-Cakes is fully registered with Fife Council and operates with full insurance to ensure all cakes meet high food-safety and professional standards, including Allergen certificate.

Pricing

All cakes are individually priced based on:
• Design and complexity
• Cake size and number of portions
• Time required to create the cake

Payments & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order and reserve your date.

Celebration Cakes:
Final payment is due 1 week before collection/ delivery of your cake

Wedding Cakes:
Final payment is required 4 weeks before collection or delivery.

Order Changes:
Any amendments must be confirmed in writing. Additional charges may apply.
I always do my best to accommodate late changes, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellations:  

Celebration cake, 72 hrs notice is required for cancellation

Wedding cake 4 weeks notice is required for cancellation
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cake Care & Responsibility

Once your cake has been collected or delivered, Speciality-Cakes cannot accept responsibility for any damage.
For Wedding cakes and structured cakes the person receiving the cake will be asked to sign a collection/delivery note confirming safe handover.

Allergens: Speciality-Cakes cannot accept responsibility for any cross contamination of Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegan cakes after leaving the premises.

Consultations:
Consultations (including tasting sessions for wedding cakes) are available by appointment only.

Booking Guidelines

To ensure availability, we recommend booking as early as possible.

Wedding cakes: Please book at least 3 months in advance.
Celebration cakes: Please allow at least 4 weeks.

Short-notice orders may be possible depending on availability, and I will always try to accommodate when I can.

You may book your cake up to 1 year in advance, and your deposit will secure your chosen date.

Advice for cheesecakes

Keep refrigerated between +2°C and 5°C and consume within five days from the date of collection / delivery.

I use Local, free range, organic produce whenever possible

Some of my products may include nuts (including peanuts), all of my products are made in a bakery that contains nuts (peanuts) so
there may be trace elements of nuts in all of my products.
Due to their hand-made nature, the finished products may vary slightly from the images displayed on the website.
